“You know, I can remember when you were just a seed.”
”..see.. Mama?”

“Yep. Seed. Way back when we found out we were having you.”
“Mmmbah! Dada!”

“Dada?”
“Dada!!”

“Dada fainted, Genevieve.”
“Good, make sure to tell your husband and to get one to your daughter. They’re complete animals, demons they are.” he said, sighing.
“All of them.” he said, nodding. “If you fear witched, check your room for hex bags. They have unusual items in them, their usually small too.” he explained. “Yes, yes you are.” he said. “Shotgun perhaps, salt filled shells. Or a pistol.” he said, smiling. “Holy water too.”

“…” The thought of things going after her daughter, things worse than Wrath made her physically stick to her stomach, and so far beyond angry that all she could do was grip her dagger. She remembered what it felt like to be in Wrath’s presence, that fury, that undeniable rage that had taken her when she tried to crush his windpipe. To no avail of course. Was that part of his plan? To radiate fury and hatred so intense that it drew her forward and to her death? She couldn’t let that go. Wrath, and the rest of the evil that walked this world needed to be put back in the hell hole they climbed out of.
“Will do.” she finally agreed, albeit quietly. “I just have one more question for you, Castiel.”
What nerve. What— infuriating— disgusting— nerve. Breaths, once level, calm, left him in erratic beats, ripping from his lungs, gnashing from his lips. Delving into combat at this moment would throw his mind askew, leaving any semblance of sanity in the dirt, replacing it only with manic animosity— uncontrollable invidia.
“None of you worms deserve to look down on me!” The homunculus’ bark subsided into a terse growl, only too soon to be interrupted with, “Everyone fears me, I’m Envy! I started the Ishvalan war, I’ve murdered more of you vermin than I can count! Pitying me— You— You can’t pity me! There’s nothing to pity except for the meaningless lives you’re leading!”

“—and look at you! You’re like a child that throws a tantrum— making just enough noise so that you get attention.” the chimera flinched backward, the heel of her boot digging into the earth beneath her. Every animal instinct engineered in her unique body was alerting her to high tail it out of there, but her pride won over. One more sign that the homunculus was about to attack and she was getting the hell out of Dodge.
“I’m a chimera. I’m not even considered human anymore. There are several people that would see more as a pet or a guard dog other than the person I was born. And even I, a life form so morally low and tabooed, pity you, Envy. I pity you because you have to murder to make yourself feel worthy of living.”
rose-in-bloomx is one of the sweetest and most adorable people I’ve met in the fma fandom. Not only does she make a great Rose, but over the course of a couple months, she’s become one of my best friends. I don’t know what I’d do without her.
